The MIT Department of Chemical Engineering (https://cheme.mit.edu/) invites candidates for faculty positions starting August 2019 or thereafter.   Multiple positions are available at the assistant or untenured associate professor level and will be located in Cambridge, Massachusetts.   In special cases, a senior faculty appointment may also be possible.   Candidates must have a Ph.D. in chemical engineering or a related field by the start of their employment.   Candidates with research and teaching interests in every area relevant to the field of chemical engineering are encouraged to apply.   These interests include in particular the areas of bioengineering and/or biotechnology, and computational math and process systems engineering; the latter area offers potential joint affiliation with the MIT Institute of Data Science and Society (IDSS)  The successful candidate is expected to advise students, and develop and teach chemical engineering courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels, as well as to develop a sponsored research program and be involved in service to MIT and the profession.
